District Engineer FORT COLLINS•LOVELAND WATER DISTRICT Y \ SOUTH FORT COLLINS SANITATION DISTRICT V May 9, 2017 v E MAY 1 1 2017 Mr. Clay Frickey J City of Fort Collins BY. P.O. Box 580 Fort Collins, CO 80525 RE: PDP 170014 — Lakeview on the Rise First Submittal Dear Mr. Frickey, The Fort Collins — Loveland Water District and the South Fort Collins Sanitation District have reviewed the above mentioned project and submit the following comments. The property is not within the service area of the South Fort Collins Sanitation District and, therefore, sanitary sewer service is contingent upon the land being included into the District boundary, which must be approved by the Board of Directors. There does not appear to be any water line lowerings or need for ARVs, is this correct? Will the existing % inch water tap be utilized or abandoned at the main? The District does not allow trees or extensive landscaping within 10 feet of District facilities. The number of units in each structure needs to be identified. Will the 8 inch water lines be adequate for peak day demand plus fire flow? The backwash from the proposed pool cannot exceed 150 gpm. Reduce Back -Flow -Prevention -Devices are required on all domestic and fire lines. There is an existing 6 inch water line stub to the property that is to be abandoned at the main. The minimum and maximum bury of the water lines is 5 feet and 6 feet, respectively. The District requires meter pits, not curb stops. Will there be irrigation services? The proposed sanitary sewer line between proposed manholes SSMH 19 and SSMH 18 needs to be discussed. The slope exceeds recommended maximum slopes and would most likely preclude the outside drop. 5150 Snead Drive, Fort Collins, CO 80525 Phone (970) 226-3104 Fax (970) 226-0186
