Box 1727 Greeley, CO 80632 Re: Waterglen P.U.D.-Floodplain Check of Regrading Upstream of Waterglen Drive [ACE Project No. COPBR02.01] Dear Ken: On March 12, 2001 Anderson Consulting Engineers, Inc. was contacted by Mr. Jim Wright of JR Engineering, Ltd. to evaluate the impacts to the Boxelder Overflow Channel upstream of Waterglen Drive as a result of changes to the grading in the right overbank. It is our understanding that the City of Fort Collins is concerned that the revised grading is different enough from that submitted in support of the CLOMR (ACE, Inc., April 14,' 1999) to have an impact on the floodplain. Based on the September 11, 2000 revised grading plan (See Attachment 1), we have modified the RCBOXO.DAT HEC-2 model (See Attachment 2) with the new grading. The new grading required adjustments to the right overbank GR data at Cross Sections 8954 and 9154 as shown on the grading plan and in the RCBOXOOI.DAT HEC-2 model (See Attachment 3). The grading changes occurred in a flooding area with shallow depths and minimal conveyance capacity. Therefore, as shown in Table 1, the results of this analysis indicate no significant change in the water surface elevations. However, the 100-year floodplain delineation in this area will be slightly different. The re -delineation of the floodplain will occur, along with any other as - built changes to the project, during the Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) analysis. Table 1.
