Box 580 Fort Collins, CO 80522-0580 Re: Wind Trail Townhomes Project Dear Mr. Shepard: I am writing to you regarding the proposed project known as Wind Trail Townhomes. I would like to voice my concern over this project. I believe that the increased traffic generated by this proposal that will pour onto Shields, especially during the rush hours, is too great a burden to bear for those of us who live in the neighborhood. Traffic is already a problem on Shields. This problem can only be enhanced by Wind Trail project, particularly in light of the proposed Spring Creek Village project just north of the Wind Trail project. Presently, there are four (4) traffic lights on Shields between Drake and Prospect Roads. If Wind Trail project were to proceed, a fifth traffic light will be required at Hill Pond Road to accommodate the increased traffic. It is already a hassle entering onto south Shields from Shire Court. The proposed increase of residents east of Shields will only exacerbate this problem. I respectfully request that you reconsider granting the go-ahead on this project. In the alternative, I beg you to re -think the traffic plan for Shields between Drake and Prospect. Don't let Shields Street become a second College Avenue! Regards, Patrick J. Murp y
