Box 335 Timnath, Colorado 80547 Dear Mayor Eversole: Since our phone conversation last week about the proposed Project, I've talked with Keith Dixon, Director of PR-1 Development Division, about your concerns. As I mentioned in we feel it is important to consider all input from people and by a proposed development, so I appreciate your comments. Waterglen Housing Construction and our conversation, entities affected Keith mentioned that Poudre R-1 is not comfortable taking a position one way or another on any particular proposed development, to include the Waterglen project. Instead, they continually try to project growth in different areas of the District, and adjust individual school boundaries to accommodate new developments. In this particular situation, PR-1 has projected growth in the NE portion of Fort Collins in their long-range plan, and have taken actions to accommodate this growth. For example, an addition to Eyestone Elementary School in Wellington has been completed, and an addition to Tavelli Elementary School is currently underway. As you mentioned, elementary students from the Waterglen development would currently attend Timnath Elementary. However, if the Waterglen project is approved, PR-1 will work closely with the developer to project student loads and adjust boundaries as needed to ensure school populations are reasonably balanced. The additions at Eyestone and Tavelli are examples of how PR-1 is continually trying to ensure that physical capacity is available to accommodate the boundary changes anticipated as a result of growth or development. Hope this helps. We will continue to look at the overall impacts of the proposed Waterglen project, and I will keep you informed of things that might impact Timnath. For your information, this project is :currently scheduled to go before the Planning and Zoning Board for preliminary consideration on February 28.
