HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOVENTRY SUBDIVISION PRELIMINARY - 80 93 - CORRESPONDENCE - CITIZEN COMMUNICATION (8)October 12, 1993
TO: The City of Fort Collins Planning Department
FROM: Diana T. Brown, Homeowner, 818 Rochelle, Fort Collins, Colorado
I am writing this letter as I will be out of state on October 14, 1993
and unable to attend the meeting to be held at McGraw Elementary to discuss
the development of McGraw Subdivision.
I am vehemently apposed to this subdivision for several reasons. As a
homeowner I was the first person to build on the north side of Rochelle and
chose my lot because I had a beautiful unobstructed view of the mountains
to the west and the city lights to the north. I talked to several people
at the City as well as officials at Front Range and was assured that the
area to the north would not be developed unless it was used by the college.
A large part of the value of my property is due to the open space and feel
ny property value would most definitely dimish if McGraw Subdivision should
be developed.
As a Realtor, I further feel that all the homes on Rochelle Circle would drop
in value. I know from 12 years experience that view and open spaces
play a large part in increasing or decreasing the value of a home. I feel
that none of us should have to suffer the loss of value to our homes so that
someone else can profit.
Please strongly consider my objection and the objections of the other home
owners in the area and decline to approve McGraw Subdivision.
R ectfully,
Diana T. Brown
