Dear Mr. Shepard:

We are unable to attend the meeting for tonight on the McGraw Subdivision but we would like
to voice our strong opposition to this subdivision.
When we purchased our property three years ago, we were told that this land to the north of us
belonged to the Front Range Community College. We hoped that this would keep the property
undeveloped unless the College wanted to expand. We believe that this open space behind us
adds to the value of our property and we would, therefore, not like this area to be subdivided
and thus greatly lower the value of our property. We are sure that probably at least two
property lots would border on land in this subdivision and this would greatly affect our property
value.
My husband has spoken with the new owner of this land and has .expressed an interest in
purchasing a portion of the land that borders our property. We were told that all of the property
owners along this southern edge of his land would have to purchase this section as a whole.
Since some of the land in Claredon Hills on Rochelle Circle is not sold or developed, we could
not go further with this action. However, many of the owners currently occupying land on
Rochelle Circle were very interested in trying to make this purchase.
We are also sure that developing this area would add more traffic to Hinsdale Drive, therefore,
more traffic around the school and on Harmony Road. We also feel that McGraw Elementary
would become even more over -crowded with the addition of this housing.
Thank you for considering our views on this matter.
Sincerely, ^
Larry and Joan Schild
