In the early 1980's he actively began pursuing the concept of a community college
being established on the LCVTC site by beginning serious discussions with the
members of the community and the three Larimer County school districts, joint owners
of the LCVTC.
Passed away December, 1987 while attending the American Vocational Association
Convention in California.

Dear Mr. Shepard:
Per our discussions concerning the naming of a new street to be constructed near the
college, I've attached a brief biography of Jack Stoddard. According to everyone I've
talked to at the institution and at the state level, Jack played a significant role in the
growth and development of the Larimer County Voc-Tech Center. He is truly worthy,
by all accounts, of having the new street named after him.
Please let me know if we can be a part of any ceremonial activities that might go with
this event. Please call me if you need any further information.
