We recently received a letter from you regarding a planning request, 329 S. Sherwood Site
Plan - Case #73-93. This involves the conversion of a former drive-in dry cleaners into a
triplex rental unit. Unfortunately, neither my wife nor I will be able to attend the
Administrative Review Hearing on this plan in person, but I would like to express some on
my concerns in hopes that will be considered in the decision.
Although it is my understanding that this proposed plan falls within the guidelines for the
Neighborhood Conservation Medium Density Zone, I am nonetheless concerned about its
impact on the existing neighborhood. As you may be aware there is already a rental
property next to the dry cleaners and another directly across the street. The addition of a
third rental property with a potential of nine additional people would seem to pose parking
problems to a street that can already be crowded at times by activities at the Lincoln Center.
There is also the potential for noise problems in this relatively quiet area as the character of
the neighborhood shifts.
Thank you for the opportunity to voice my concerns about changes to the neighborhood
that we currently enjoy so much.
