Dear Molly,

ARCHITECTS
The following trees are proposed to be removed and mitigated at the Taft Place site located in the
southwest corner of Taft Hill and CR 38 E (Harmony Rd).
1. Siberian Elm — 25" DBH; Mitigation Value 0;
This tree was evaluated during an on -site meeting with Forestry. This tree is proposed for
removal due to its invasive habits. This tree is of wild origin, in poor condition, and
located on the property line along the existing fence line to the southeast of the property.
2. Siberian Elm — 25" DBH; Mitigation Value 4;
This tree was evaluated during an on -site meeting with Forestry. This tree is proposed for
removal due to its invasive habits. This tree is not believed to be of wild origin, is in fair
condition, and located on the property line along the existing fence line to the south
property.
3. Siberian Elm Suckers — Multi -Stem Less than I I" DBH; Mitigation Value 0;
This tree was evaluated during an on -site meeting with Forestry. This group of volunteer
suckers are proposed for removal due to this species invasive habits. This tree is of wild
origin, in fair minus condition, and located where the proposed parking lot and
stormwater for the development are proposed.
Mitigation:
Based on direction from Forestry, only the second Siberian Elm will require mitigation with a
mitigation value of 3.5, rounded up to 4 total. Lockwood Architects has provided the 4 required
trees to be mitigated, plus an additional 21 trees — 25 trees total. All of which, are non-invasive
and will fit within the proposed site.
Sincerely,
i1 -
