We find much about their plan unacceptable. First of all, although we would prefer to see the area remain rural and farming land we realize that will not happen. However, in our immediate area most of the homes are on at least 22 acre or more parcels and that would be the preferable way of this area of developing rather than putting in small, high density subdivisions hit and miss. Secondly, the developer has told us they plan to close the lane which we use and has been the access to our property for over 100 years. The other thing they informed us about was running water into our ponds. We find. that unacceptable if there is anything in the water since our animals get their drinking water from the ponds. Irrigation water was one thing but if people are adding contaminants to their lawns or hosing off their driveways after changing oil, etc. this will hardly be potable drin%ing water, even for animals.. Progress is inevitable but rapid, extensive growth is not necessarily progress and many things need to be addressed from the effects'on the environment, to accessability, traffic flow and the concerns of those in the areas affected. We would ask that, taking everything into consideration, the planning and zoning board look at leaving this area for homes on acreages considering the high density already proposed for business along the Harmony Corridor. We would appreciate your consideration of further objective study of this matter. Thank you. Sincerely, Mrs. David L,. Tholfias
