• As noted earlier, Westfield Drive is currently under construction. A stop sign is proposed for
the intersection of Westfield Drive and Seneca Street.
Stormwater Utility:
• Discussions are ongoing concerning the erosion control plan and requirements for water
quality control measures.
Light and Power:
• Installation of power service and location of transformer will be co-ordinated with the Light
and Power Department.
Poudre Fire Authority:
• Address numerals for the building will be installed in a conspicuous, highly visible location.
• All portions of the building are within 300' of the existing fire hydrant at the intersection of
Westfield Drive and Seneca Street.
• We are working with the pool contractor to establish a HMIA. Results of this report will be
provided to PFA and the Planning Department.
Police:
Building lighting will be provided on the west side of the building. This should illuminate the
pool area during the night time hours.
Water Wastewater:
• We intend to run the landscape irrigation system off the domestic water supply line so no
irrigation tap is proposed for this facility.
Zoning:
Building envelopes have been labeled and handicap parking stall dimensioned.
Proposed building signs are shown on the Exterior Elevations.
Three bike racks are proposed for a total capacity of 12 bicycles.
I have enclosed the requested number of plan sets for staff review. If you should have any additional
comments or questions occur prior to the hearing on Thursday October 11 please call me.

Following please find response to those items raised in your comment letter dated 09-27-01.

Oki
Excel Energy/Public Service:
• Owner representative will be in contact with Mr. Traynor to coordinate extension of gas main
to site.
• No trees will be planted within 4' of gas main. Trees will be shifted if necessary.
City Forester:
• Silver Maple removed from plant list.
• Plant notes have been added to the revised Landscape Plan.
Water Conservation:
• Water consumption areas have been calculated and noted on the revised Landscape Plan.
Building Department:
• Construction Plans for the pool and building will conform to the current building codes
enforced by the city.
Engineering:
Westfield Drive is currently under construction and will be completed prior to the pool
submitting a building permit application.
The sidewalk on the south side of Westfield Drive will be constructed as a detached sidewalk
per current city standards. The detached sidewalk will extend from Seneca Street to its
termination at the parks bike path.
Plans have been revised to reflect the red -lines obtained from Susan Joy.
