Sample Specification
The luminaire sidewalls shall be
radius die -formed from a single piece
of extrusion of aluminum alloy 6063-T4
The housing shall have a 1.25" outside
radius ateach corner. The crowned
aluminum sheet canopy shall be
crimped and sealed to the housing.
Finishing on the housing shall be.
The flat, thermal and impact tempered
glass lens is set into an extruded alumi-
num lens frame, sealed with an
E.F.D.M. gasket. Vertical lamp models
utilize a drop convex lens of polycar-
bonate for GN21 and tempered glass
forGn29. Door frameassemblyshall
be made of aluminum extrusions and
secured with extruded internal corner
keys. Door to be hinged with aluminum
pins and retained with a quick release
safety latch of stainless steel. The door
frame shall be removable. The GN 17
and GN21 available with a choice of
IES-I, IES-II, IES-III, IES-IVorF
(forward) pattern and IES-V horizontal
and IES-V vertical. The GN-29 is availa-
ble in IES-II, IES-III or F (forward)
distribution and IES-V horizontal and
IES-Vvertical.
The reflector is precision hydro -
formed orspun aluminum, chemically
brightened and anodized to a semi-
specular finish. Reflector system is
sealed to prevent entrance of dust or
moisture. Reflectorsystem is hinged
and latched to the gasketed door frame
for easy cleaning or removal. (Glendale
29 Vertical lamp reflector is not
hinged.) A fuseholder inside the fixture
is optional. Lamp socketshall have
nickel -plated currentcarrying parts
with lamp grip. Ballast components are
mounted to the housing on a separate,
easily removable extruded aluminum
heat sink hanger bracket. Ballastshall
be capable of starting -type of
lamp of -watts at -voltage
down to - 20 degrees F. The 200
degree C., 600 volt insulating wiring
shall be installed between the ballast
and the lampholder. Primaryvoltage to
the ballast is disconnected by a
plunger type switch when lens door is
opened. The standard arm assembly
shall be of rectangular aluminum
extrusion complete with non -slip tie
rod channels serving as a compression
member with two threaded and zinc -
plated steel tie rods and lock nuts in
tension between pole and luminaire.
The luminaire shall bear the listing
mark of Underwriters' Laboratory,
"Fixtures suitable for wet locations."
1. Type F (forward) reflectors are specular and
bright -pebbled aluminum I ighting sheet.
2. Model GN29 Horizontal Lamp reflector
system is die -formed, not sealed.

THE RICHMOND' SERIES
RICHMOND
The Richmond Series achieves a clean, uncluttered canopy appearance. Its rectangular shape
recesses easily into a single canopy panel, allowing the fixture frame to be flush -mounted with
the canopy ceiling. The Richmond Series is easily installed and provides a water -tight fixture -
to -canopy fit.
SPECIFICATIONS
HOUSING
Each Richmond housing is
formed, heavy -gauge aluminum
and internally welded at the
comers. Corners are finished to
produce a clean, sharp appearance
while increasing housing strength
and ensuring weather -tight
construction.
LENS/GASKET
The Richmond is available in
any of the following lens types:
a dropped borosilicate prismatic
glass lens or C73 diffused flat
tempered glass lens. A continuous,
one-piece EPDM gasket ensures
maximum sealing to the housing.
LENS FRAME / DOOR
FASTENER
The Richmond features a hinged
lens frame, hinging the frame to
the luminaire with concealed hinges
and locked with one captive door
fastener. Lenses are sealed to the
lens frame with silicone sealant.
SOCKETS
Porcelain mogul -base sockets
feature spring -reinforced
contacts for long life.
PHOTOMETRICS
LIGHT SOURCES
The Richmond is designed
to operate with a single lamp
of either of the following
lamp types: Super Metal
Halide or Metal Halide with
mogul -base sockets. Clear lamp
supplied as standard.
REFLECTORS/DISTRIBUTION
PATTERNS
Each Richmond fixture is
supplied with a symmetrical
reflector system. Photometric data
is certified by an independent
testing facility.
FINISHES
Each Richmond fixture is finished
with DuraGrip, LSI Lighting
Systems' revolutionary superior
baked -on polyester -powder
finishing process, to give the
fixture an exceptionally attractive
appearance. Standard finish
colors available for the Richmond
are bronze, black, or white. The
DuraGrip polyester finish
withstands extreme weather
changes without cracking or
peeling. Finish is guaranteed
for five full years.

High -power factor type

operation. The ballast is mounted
to the housing reinforcing plate.
MOUNTING
The Richmond is shipped
complete with all mounting
hardware. The Richmond is
equipped with 72-inch electrical
leads and 1/2-inch liquid -tight
flexible conduit connector. Fixture
is mounted flush with canopy deck
panels where it is accessible from
the top. A tube of silicone sealant
is supplied to prevent leakage on
underside of canopy. Mounting
brackets are easily installed. Not
used for enclosed canopy
applications.
