HomeMy WebLinkAboutHARMONY SAFEWAY MARKETPLACE WTE (SPRINT), LOT 8 - PDP - 33-94H - CORRESPONDENCE - CORRESPONDENCE-HEARINGNo Text Comma. y Planning and Environmental , _rvices Current Planning City of Fort Collins Dear Resident March 18, 2004 On Thursday April 1, 2004, at 4:30 p.m., at the City of Fort Collins Current Planning Department, 281 North College Avenue, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524, the Planning Director will conduct an administrative hearing to consider a development proposal in your neighborhood. The project is known as Sprint Wireless Telecommunications Equipment for Cellular Telephone at Lot Eight, Harmony Safeway Center, 1414 East Harmony Road, File #33-94H. The Sprint Wireless Telecommunications Company is proposing to construct wireless antennas as part of a new clock tower installation at 1414 East Harmony Road. This building is also known as Lot Eight of the Harmony Safeway shopping center. It is presently under construction for multiple retail and service tenants. The clock tower would be located at the front of the building on the side closest to Safeway. This is the southeast corner of the building. The clock tower would be square -shaped with the dimensions being ten feet by ten feet. It would be topped by a pitched roof. The total height would be 42 feet as measured to the peak of the roof. There would three sets of three antennae that would be concealed as part of the clock tower structure in a stealth fashion. The color and materials would match the building. The supporting equipment would be housed within metal cabinets that would be mounted on the roof and concealed by parapet walls. Lot Eight of Harmony Safeway Center, 1414 East Harmony Road, is the last vacant parcel in the center. It is located directly west of the Safeway supermarket. Lot Eight was recently approved for a 9,900 square foot multi -tenant retail/service building. If you have any interest or concern about this proposed project, you are encouraged to attend this public hearing. At the hearing, you will have the opportunity to hear from the City staff and the project applicant about the details of the project. You will also be given the opportunity to state your views about the project. The affected property owners list for this public hearing is derived from official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between home occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of this pending meeting so all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend.
