O. Box 850 1420 2nd Street Greeley, CO 80632 Re: SAFEWAY PROJECT Harmony Road between McMurry Ave. & Wheaton Dr. Fort Collins, Colorado Dear Ms. Jones: We are addressing you on behalf of the Golden Meadows community regarding captioned project. We have been working closely with a very cooperative Safeway management in terms of area traffic mitigation. Over a period of months we reached agreements with them on nearly all items of concern to the community. There is, however, still one area of great concern namely, access to the site. Our community is asking you to grant a RI/RO off Harmony Road much like the one at the Harmony Market center (Steeles, Builder's Square) just west of this site. This would provide another point of ingress/egress, lessening the traffic impact on our residential roads. At the same time it would ease traffic at the signalized intersections, particularly for the north/south signal cycles. As you undoubtedly know, Harmony Road west of Timberline Road has become quite urban -like. Additionally, there are already three (3) curb cuts east of the Safeway site, just east of the railraod tracks. The curb cut (RI/RO) requested for the Safeway site is far more important since it will ease traffic on the local residential streets of this community.
