At the request of Centex Homes, the property was recently reviewed under Section 14 of the Fort Collins Code (the Demolition/Alteration Review Process), to determine if the property would qualify for designation as a Fort Collins Landmark. After consultation with the Chair of the Landmark Preservation Commission and with Historic Preservation staff, the Director of Advance Planning has determined that, under Section 14-72(a)(3) of the Code, the above buildings lack historical, geographical and/or architectural significance sufficient to qualify as a Landmark, and that their demolition would be inconsequential to the historic integrity of adjacent properties and the surrounding area.
