Page 3 EROSION CONTROL REPORT: This proposed site is in the City's high rainfall erodibility zone and in the moderate wind erodibility zone. To control erosion this project will be required to construct a silt fence along the South and East sides of the project. The West side is protected by trees and the North side by an earth berm. Secondly, the contractor will be required to construct straw bale dikes around all the inlets until the roads are paved, then change the straw bales for gravel inlet filters. Third, the contractor shall reseed two thirds of the site after grading. Straw bale dikesshall be placed at the outlets to both piping systems and shall remain in place until the completion of the project. The Bridgefield P.U.D. Page 2 Sub -basin DB-1 is 0.84 acres. It is on the West side of this project and includes parts .of Lots 5 through 20. Runoff from this basin will be to a curb inlet at the Northeast corner of Deer Run Drive and the private drive. This inlet is shown as concentration point WI-2. An additional inlet is required in this basin for street flows. It is located 70 feet West of WI-2. This additional inlet is at concentration point WI-3. Runoff from these two concentration points and also concentration point WI-1 will be piped South over the Larimer Canal No. 2 and then dispersed to flow overland to the "Heatheridge Pond." Sub -basin DB-2 is 0.81 acres. It is part of Lots 1 through 7, 11, 31, 32 and 33. It is at the North end of the site. Runoff is directed to a curb inlet at concentration point EI-10. Sub -basin DB-3 is 0.48 acres. It is part of Lots 7, 8, 9 and 26 through 31. It is located along Marmot Way and the.private drive. Runoff from this basin is to a curb inlet at concentration point EI-6. Sub -basin DB-4 is 1.03 acres. It is part of Lots 17 through 25. Runoff is to an inlet at concentration point EI-4 by Lot 25. This basin also has an additional inlet at concentration point EI-1 to handle street flows. This inlet is by Lot 17. Sub -basin DB-5 is 0.58 acres. It is Tract "C" and part of Lots 26 through 33. All runoff from this basin is to an inlet at concentration point EI-6. Sub -basin DB-6 is 0.65 acres. It is part of Lots 34 through 42. All runoff from this basin is to an inlet at concentration point EI-9 by the Northwest corner of Lot 42. Sub -basin DB-7 is 0.55 acres. It is part of Lots 40 through 46. Runoff from this basin is to an inlet at concentration point EI-8. Sub -basin DB-8 is 0.36 acres. It is part of Lots 39 and 44 through 50. Runoff from this basin is to concentration point EI-8 located on the North side of Lot 48. Sub -basin DB-9 is 1.18 acres. It is part of Lots 37, 38 and 53 through 62. Runoff from this basin is to an inlet at the Southeast corner of Lot 53 which is concentration point EI-2. An additional inlet is required for street flow and will be installed at the Northeast corner of Lot 57. This inlet is at concentration point EI-3. Sub -basin DB-10 is 0.75 acres. It is part of Lots 51 through 62. Runoff from this basin is to an inlet on the South side of Lot 52 which is concentration point EI-1. An additional inlet was required for street flow at the Northwest corner of Lot 51 which is conentration point EI-5. In summary, Sub -basin DB-1 and part of DB-4 are collected in a storm drain system that flows South across the Larimer County Canal on the West side of the site. All the remaining sub -basins, except for Prospect and Ditch, flow into a storm drain system that crosses the ditch at Bridgefield Drive. Runoff from these systems will then flow overland to the "Heatheridge Pond." FINAL DRAINAGE AND EROSION CONTROL REPORT THE BRIDGEFIELD P.U.D. SITE: Bridgefield P.U.D. is a 62 lot single family/paired housing development. The site area is 8.22 acres, located in the North ? of Section 22, Township 7 North, Range 69 West of the Sixth P.M., Fort Collins, Larimer County, Colorado. This proposed project is located in the Spring Creek Drainage Basin.. It is part of the "Feasibility Studies Report Diversion of Stormwater Runoff Through Irrigation Canals from Mulberry Street to Spring Creek" prepared for the City of Fort Collins by Resource Consultants, Inc. in 1980. Part of the canal system from Heatheridge to the New Mercer Canal has been constructed by the City of Fort Collins in 1993. EXISTING SITE: This proposed site is bordered on the North by West Prospect Road. This road has been recently constructed to city standards by the City of Fort Collins. The site is bordered on the West side by The New Mercer Canal. West of the canal is the "The Bridges," a paired housing development which is constructed. The site is bordered on the East by Larimer County Canal No. 2. East of this canal is the developed Heatheridge Condominiums. The site is bordered on the South by the Larimer County Canal No. 2. South of this canal is open land. This open land was to be part of this project, but the owner is in negotiations to sell this portion to the City for open space. The proposed project has two historic sub —basins. The North basin drains Northerly from an abandoned irrigation lateral to Prospect Street. This area is 4.6 acres. Historic Sub —basin "B" drains Southerly from the abandoned irrigation lateral to the Larimer County Canal No. 2. This area is 3.6 acres more or less. The existing site is covered with native grasses and weeds. There is an existing residence located by Prospect Road which will be removed. DRAINAGE CRITERIA: Due to the small basin size, the Rational Method has been utilized to determine peak runoff rates. There is no required detention for this site. All runoff will be directed undetained to the "Heatheridge Pond." Design factors used are in accordance with the City of Fort Collins Storm Drainage Design Criteria and Construction Standards Manual. DEVELOPED SITE: This site is divided into 12 sub —basins. The Prospect Sub —basin is 0.86 acres and has been constructed from South Taft Hill Road to Shields Street. This project does not change the existing drainage patterns in this basin. Runoff is along the gutter and flow is West to East. The Ditch Sub —basin is 0.13 acres. This basin is East of Red Fox Way on the East side of this project. This basin's drainage patterns will remain as historic. There will be no runoff increase to the Larimer County Canal No. 2 from this basin. Historic runoff is into the Ditch.
