Box 580 Fort Collins, CO 80522-0580 Dear Mr. Ludwig: JAN 2 9 RECO With regard to the preliminary development plans for Waterfield PUD (#7-95B) located in the southwest quarter of section 5, Township 7 North, Range 68 West, 6th P.M., Larimer County, Colorado, our comments are as follows: 1. All construction activities on the United States easement, including landscaping, should be coordinated with this office. Prior to any such activity, the developer should obtain an "Application To Construct Or Install Structure on Government Easement " from our Lands Department. 2. The recorded subdivision plat should plainly show the easement area as 75 feet wide and state: "The United States easement is a restricted area and all construction activities should be coordinated with WESTERN AREA POWER ADMINISTRATION, P.O. Box 3700, Loveland, CO 80539-3003. 3. To avert continual severe pruning and eventual removal of tall growing trees, only low growing plants are allowed on the easement area. In this case, we are particularly concerned about the deciduous trees (15 or 16) shown within the easement area on the Landscaping Plan. From the standpoint of safety and transmission line maintenance, we request that these trees be eliminated. 4. No buildings are allowed within the easement area.
