The Phase I ESA report will include a summary of the results of the
assessment, including the groundwater sampling results described
herein, based upon the scope of work described in our August 29,
1994 proposal. We will also provide a description of the previous
assessment and abatement activities performed at the site. If you
have any questions or require additional information, please
contact us. As always it is a pleasure to be of service to Rothman

RE: Groundwater Sampling Results
800 North College Avenue
Fort Collins, Colorado
Project Number 43945038
Dear Mr. Moser:
The purpose of this letter is to summarize the analytical results
for three (3) groundwater samples collected from the above -
referenced site on September 9, 1994. Terracon Environmental, Inc.
(Terracon) performed that sampling in conjunction with a Phase I
Environmental Site Assessment (Phase I ESA) which is currently
being completed for the subject site: It is anticipated that the
Phase I ESA report will be completed by September 29, 1994.
Groundwater samples collected from MW-1 through MW-3 on September
9, 1994 were transported under standard Terracon chain -of -custody
procedures to Technology Laboratory, Inc. (TLI) in Fort Collins,
Colorado for total volatile petroleum hydrocarbons (TVPH) and
benzene-toluene-ethylbenzene-xylenes (BTEX) analyses. The
approximate locations of MW-1 through MW-3 are shown on Figure 1
which is attached to this letter. The laboratory results for
groundwater samples collected from the site are summarized in Table
1 and the TLI laboratory report which are attached to this letter.
As seen from Table 1, TVPH and BTEX were not observed above the
laboratory detection limits in the groundwater samples collected
from MW-1 through MW-3 during September 1994. Groundwater
standards for BTEX are also summarized in Table 1. As seen from
Table 11 the standards for BTEX are 5; 11,000; 680 and 10,000 µi
respectively. Those standards are the statewide interim organic
pollutant standards published in "The Basic Standards for Ground
Water 3.11.0 (5 CCR 1002-8)." TVPH concentrations in groundwater
are not currently regulated in Colorado. As seen from Table 1,
concentrations of BTEX observed in groundwater samples collected
from the site during September 1994 did not exceed the groundwater
standards.
