WE the undersigned, object to the proposed street connection of the Hearthfire PUD to County
Road 13. We feel that this will dramatically increase vehicle traffic through our neighborhood.
Adequate "connectivity" already exists for bicycles, pedestrians, and equestians through the trail
connection. A street connection will increase the use of our road as a "cut -through" to North
Lemay by non-resident motorists; a significant safety problem even now.

Dear Mr. Olt:
Enclosed, please find a list of signatures gathered by the Northeast Neighborhood Coalition
(NENC) from residents of Inverness Road, Abbotsford Road, Richards Lake Road, and Gregory
Road. This petition indicates the concern of area residents regarding the Hearthfire/CoRd 13
street connection requested by the City of Fort Collins. This opposition is related to the increase in
expected traffic, if the street connection is made. The NENC worked with the Hearthfire developer
to resolve this very traffic issue, years ago, and continues to feel that it is inappropriate to channel
traffic from a City subdivision onto inadequately designed County roads such as these. We hope
that this would convey to you the apprehension that we as a neighborhood feel about this proposed
street connection. We feel that the benefit of this connection to Hearthfire residents is insignificant,
compared to the disadvantages imposed upon the existing County neighborhoods in this area.
