Dear Mr. Schlueter:
SnWARFMSSOCAnS
Consu" Engineers and Surveprs
This is rcgard ng the drainage for a proposed addition onto the Roberto's Burritos
restaurant at 1201/z West Laurel Street. The existing restaurant is located at the intersection of
two alleys in Block 116, F3ar3iwn's Addition.
The North end of the lot has an existing gravel parlumg area which wM remain but w1T
have a second story addition constructed which will increase the impervious surface on the lot by
672 square feet.
The runoff from the proposed increased hard smr&ce will eater the East-West alley from
two downspouts ou the North end of the addition. Tice mnoff will flow Easterly to the
intersection ofthe alleys and then Northerly in the North -South alley to Myrtle Street and theft
Easterly to an inlet at the comer of Myrtle Street and College Avenue.
The South 230 feet ofBlock 116 is approximately 98%hard surfaced. The 672 square
feet of increased hard surface is only 0.7% increase.
Due to the minimal increase in runoff and the ability for the rauoffto flow in the inverted
crown ofthe paved alley, it is requested that no onsite detention be required The minimal
increase in runoff does not appear to cause any adverse effect on the drainage pattern in the block
The enclosed plat of the area shows wdsting flow line elevation of the alleys.
If you have any questions regarding this proposal, please call.
Sincerely,
CL
