District staff have reviewed and redlined the landscaping drawings. The District is concerned with the close proximity to the sanitary sewer line of some trees as shown on drawings L6 and L7. The District has redlined those drawings indicating trees it believes are problematic. The driplines of large trees (e.g. cottonwood, hackberry, etc.) must not overlap that of the sanitary sewer so that the potential from root intrusion into the sewer is minimized. Root intrusion leads to more frequent maintenance by the District and even with increased maintenance, can result in sanitary sewer backups. Please return these redlines with future submittals for our use in back -checking the revised drawings. Please review the redlines.
