Regarding: Raptor Nest, Bag R14p Project
As requested we oompleted 3 field Visits to review the status of the raptor stick nest
located m the large cottonwood tree along the wcstem edge of the development site The
field visits were completed in early May, late May, mid June and mid July of 2005. ne
purpose of the field visits was to determine: nest activity during the summer of 2005- The
surveys were oomplcted by using binoculars and a Votting scope Ile unveys were
completed Wore leaves wem pre'scut and alter leaf out.
No nesting raptors were observed is the nest during these field visits. A red-tailed hawk
was observed in the general area but the bird was not using the existing nest site.
Based on the sine visits the existing tzXx nest was not used dwft the nesting/breeding
season of 2005.
