This method awards points based on tie extent to which the proposed building exceeds the minimum standard as established in the Model Energy Code using the systems approach. Certification by a professional engineer licensed in Colorado will be required to demonstrate that the annual energy consumption will be a certain percentage, less than the same building just meeting die minimum standard as defined in the Model Energy Code. Percentage below the Model Energy Code Minimum Points Awarded 15 - 25% 1.0 point 26-35% 2.0 points 36 - 45% 3.0 points 46% or more 4.0 points Method Two: Points will be given for the implementation of one or more of tic energy conservation measures listed below.
