March 3, 2001 C Two drainages within the survey area contain wetland vegetation. The wetland vegetation consists primarily of Broadleaf cattail (Typtia latifolla), Creeping spikerush (Eleocharis macrostachya), Reed Canary grass (Phalaris arundinacca), Olney's three -square (Sccirpus americanus), and Torrey's rush:.. . (Juncus torreyi). The Trilby Lateral borders the project site on the south side. Ground water seepage appears to be the main source of water supporting the wetlands. As shown on the attached map, ground water seepage associated with the wetlands infiltrates and does not now to a down -gradient perennial stream. In addition, there is not a discernable channel that depicts evidence of flow below the wetland areas. The closest down -gradient perennial stream is approximately''/s mile away.
