Re: Harmony Ridge P.U.D. Phase 11
Project No: 0927-010
Dear Mr. Hamden:
We are writing this letter to request a variance to the proposed grading and drainage plan for
Harmony Ridge, Filing 2. It is our understanding that the accepted slope for all proposed
grading be at a maximum slope of four feet horizontal to one foot vertically. We are requesting
a variance to use a slope of three feet horizontal to one foot vertical. The reason for this
request is that if we can use the 3:1 slope we will be able to minimize the number of retaining
walls on this site. Hopefully, you will recall this issue was discussed with you and staff on the
modifications to the proposed plans.
Included with this request is a letter from Earth Engineering Consultants, who did the soils work
on site, to comment on the applicable use of these three to one slopes on this site. As you will
note, Mr. Lester Litton does not see any potential problems with these slopes.
If you should have any questions on this request, please feel free to contact me at any time. I
look forward to your response on this request.
Very truly yours,
