RE: Comments Landscape Plan University Center PUD
1. Shrubs should not be planted between sidewalk and curb (parkway along College).
2. Remove existing large Pfitzer Junipers in parkway strip along College.
3. Replace trees that have died at Bennigans.
4. Add trees in 4-5 islands across front of development. This is the. first row of islands east
of building.
5. Tree selection / diversity:
Only three species. of shade trees are used for the ninety-two trees to be planted. Increase
diversity by adding these species:
Bur Oak
English Oak
Hackberry
Littleleaf Linden
Autumn Purple Ash lacks the durability to be used extensively. Anticipate losses of 25 to
35%. Should only be used for continuity in north entry alley. Use other species.
6. Design should include the renovation of shrub beds across the front of the building. Details
should be on landscape plan.
