I'll bring a copy of the new Access Managemennt_P_ian report for your department (final copies just arrived yesterday). It shows tl a short-term improvements along North College should include paving the existing unpaved alley so it can better serve as a local access/circulation. As we discussed a while back at a coordination meeting, I think its fine for them to just escrow funds for paving now and we can have the work done when a few more sites come in along the alley and/or if a site takes access from the alley. In the long term, a collector street is shown east of the alley along the alignment of Red Cedar Circle so this may impact the future ROW on the front of their project site. Hope this helps. See you tomorrow. >>> Tim Blandford 07/26 11:36 AM >>> Kathleen - Ted and I are meeting with Mr. Shrader tomorrow morning to discuss the alley behind his property. At this time, the Engineering Department is not requiring him to improve the alley, since he will not be taking access from it. However, this alley shows up on the North College Access Control Plan ... I believe. What requirements should the Developer be responsible for at this time? What does the future hold for this alley? What street cross section is proposed? As you can see I have a lot of questions. As of now, we are asking him to escrow money for the improvements to this alley in place of actually constructing the improvements. Could you please call me as soon as possible so I can discuss this with you? Thanks. tim. p.s. If you are interested, the meeting will be tomorrow morning at 9:OOam in one of the conference rooms at 281. CC: Dave Stringer, Ted Shepard
