Dear Resident:
On Thursday, December 5, 1996, at 1:30 p.m., in the Current Planning Department*,
281 North College Avenue, the Current Planning Department will hold an administrative
hearing to consider a project in your neighborhood.
The project is referred to as Western Wireless Telecommunications, Calvin Johnson
Site, Equipment Installation, 1609 Timberline Road.
This is a request to mount nine antennas, in groups of three, onto a rack fixed to a
railing, at the top of the existing grain elevator at the southwest corner of Timberline
Road and Prospect Road. Also, there is a base transmitting unit located on ground
level next to the existing storage bins. (Please see map on reverse.)
The purpose of the antennas is to provide personal communication services using
digital technology as opposed to analog technology such as used with cellular
telephones. Western Wireless has a license from the Federal Communications
Commission (FCC) which permits Western to operate wireless telecommunication
services and other services for the benefit of the public.
The list of affected property owners for this public information meeting is derived from
official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between
home occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected
property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of this
pending meeting so all neighbors may have the opportunity of attend., If you are unable
to attend this meeting, written comments are welcome.
