Oak St. Fort Collins, CO 80522 Larimer County S11, T7N, R68W Zoned: BG, General Business Dear Ladies & Gentlemen: THE REAL ESTATE SERVICES COMPANY Western Wireless PCS III (Western PCS) is proposing to develop a Personal Communications Services (PCS) antenna site at 215 W. Oak St. to provide coverage for central Fort Collins. PCS represents the latest advancement in digital wireless telecommunications, combining a specific radio frequency range (around 1900 MHz) with sophisticated computer -assisted switching technology. The most distinctive aspect of PCS is its digital transmission format. It enables users to securely and simultaneously transmit voice and data at lower power levels than conventional cellular equipment, and provides access features not available through regular cellular service, such as call forwarding, call screening and three-way teleconferencing. Service coverage is achieved by spacing transmitters throughout an area to create an interlocking series of honeycomb -shaped "cells," which allow a caller's signal to be handed off from one site to the next as they move through this area. Two -Fifteen W. Oak St. is one such "cell" site, and would be linked with other transmitters to provide seamless coverage for PCS customers in and around the City of Fort Collins. Western PCS is proposing to develop an antenna site by mounting nine panel antennas and a BTS electronics cabinet on the roof of an office building located in downtown Fort Collins at 215 W. Oak St. These panels will be sled -mounted near the center of the roof and will not be visible from ground level. Each of the panel antennas measures approximately 1.5'x5.5' for a total surface area of just under 75 sq. ft. Neither the antennas nor the BTS unit will exceed the existing overall height of the building's rooftop HVAC enclosure. 2323 Delgany Street Denver, CO 80216 (303) 292-7600 FAX (303) 292-7602
