Dear Steve,
Staff has reviewed -your. documents for the Education and Life Training Center
Expansion, R-C Site Plan that were submitted on November 20, 1996, and would like to
offer the following comments:
1.. The Light and Power Utility stated that if the existing electric service or meter
needs to be relocated or if additional power is required, the builder/developer needs
to contact the Light and Power Utility Engineering Department to determine costs.
2. The Transportation Department stated that the existing and proposed parking
situation is not acceptable. It appears that the diagonal parking on Linden Street
needs to be changed to parallel parking if possible, due to bike lane plans for this
street. The parking area along Willow may need to be improved (pave, and add
curb, gutter, and sidewalk). Please contact Eric Bracke and Kathleen Reavis at
221-6608 immediately to discuss alternatives for correcting the existing situation.
3. The Building Inspections Department states the following:
a. Portions of the addition located closer than 10 feet from the property line
(north elevation) must be of one -hour fire resistive construction. The walls
must extend 30 inches above the roof deck. No window or door openings
are permitted in the north elevation of the building.
b. Access for the physically disabled must be provided.
4.1 The Current Planning Department states the following:
a. Please.edit the title of Sheet 1 as R-C Site and Landscape Plan.
