We appreciate the opportunity to comment on the above referenced annexation, and offer the
following comments for you consideration:
In examining the neighborhood affected by this proposal the county staff and Board of County
Commissioners are concerned with the overall impact of the City's annexation on the existing
road system in the area. There are a number of county maintained roads, as well as roads not
accepted for maintenance in the area. With further city development in the southwest quadrant
the impacts to and use of these roads has increased. We would request that the city make a
comprehensive analysis of the road system in this area and address the potential impacts to the
system. A suggestion would be the consideration of an improvement district or other mechanism
which could address the funding of design, construction and maintenance of roads in this area.
We would be glad to cooperate in this endeavor as resources allow.
