Dear Resident:
The purpose of this letter is to notify you of two public meetings for a proposed project in
your neighborhood. The project is known as Drake Crossing Shopping Center, Fort
Collins Carwash Wireless Telecommunications Facility, File #35-96C.
The first meeting is a Neighborhood Information Meeting. This meeting will be held on
Thursday, May 6, 2004, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Blevins Junior High School, 2101 South
Taft Hill Road. This will be an informal meeting with the applicant and City of Fort Collins to
discuss the aspects of the project and answer questions relating to the request.
The second meeting is a City of Fort Collins Planning and Zoning Board Meeting*. This
meeting will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, City
Hall West, 300 Laporte Avenue. This is a formal hearing to consider the project request.
The request is for a 65' stealth monopole and a 240 square foot equipment shelter to be
attached to the existing Fort Collins Carwash located in the Drake Crossing Shopping
Center at the southwest corner of Valley Forge Avenue and South Taft Hill Road.
The list of affected property owners for this public information meeting is derived from
official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between home
occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property
owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of these pending
meetings so all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend. If you are unable to attend
these meetings, written comments are welcome.
