Dear Resident:
On Thursday, February 28, 2002, from 7:00 p.m. to approximately 8:00 p.m. at Bauder
Elementary School (in the Media Center Classroom), 2345 W. Prospect Road, we have
arranged for an informal follow-up neighborhood meeting, to discuss some of the issues
raised during our previous neighborhood meeting held on November 28, 2001.
As you recall, the applicant (Walgreens) is proposing to relocate its existing store to another
location in the Drake Crossing Shopping Center. The proposed Walgreens building will be
13,650 square feet, with drive-thru, near the southwest comer of the shopping center. The
proposed location will require the elimination of two existing retail buildings. This
shopping center is located in the NC - Neighborhood Commercial Zoning District.
The applicant has arranged for the traffic engineering consultant to be present at this
meeting, since some of the previously raised concerns were related to the traffic impacts of
the development. Representatives from the City have been notified of this informal follow-
up neighborhood meeting, and may or may not be present at this meeting.
While the list of notified property owners for this informal follow-up neighborhood meeting
has been limited to the attendees based on the sign-up sheet from the previous neighborhood
meeting held on November 28, 2001, please feel free to notify any interested neighbors of
this pending meeting. If you are unable to attend this meeting, written comments are
welcome.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at (303) 770-8884.
Sincerely,
Galloway, Romero & Associates
