The correct date of the administrative public hearing is Wednesday (not
Monday), July 26, 2006.
On Manda Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at 6:00 p.m. (or as soon thereafter as
possible), in the Current Planning conference room at 281 North College
Avenue*, Fort Collins, CO., the City of Fort Collins Hearing Officer will conduct an
administrative public hearing to consider a development proposal in your
neighborhood. A decision (by the City) on the proposal will be a result of this
public hearing.
This is a commercial project known as the Drake Crossing, Safeway Fuel
Center - Project Development Plan (#35-96D). The request is for a Safeway
convenience store, fuel station, and car wash facility containing two separate
buildings and a canopy over the fuel pumps. The convenience store building will
contain 893 square feet in a one-story structure to be about 15.5' high; the
canopy for the fuel facility will be about 23.8' high; and, the car wash building will
contain 1,200 square feet in a one-story structure to be about 14' high. This
project would replace the existing fuel station and car wash on the same site.
This proposed project is located at the southwest corner of South Taft Hill Road
and Valley Forge Avenue in the Drake Crossing Shopping Center. The existing
Safeway Supermarket is directly west of this site. Proposed access to the
development site is from a private driveway between South Taft Hill Road and
Valley Forge Avenue, within the shopping center. The property is zoned NC,
Neighborhood Commercial.
The list of affected property owners for this public meeting is derived from official
records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between
occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected
property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor
of this pending meeting so all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend.
