You also agreed to provide us with (1) a copy of the development plan
sheets you had at the meeting, (2) the landscape plans for the greenbelt
area, (3) the language in the development agreement relating to the
number of homes that will trigger action on the frontage road, and (4)
the building plans for the duplexes (as mentioned above, these are still
1-2 weeks out).
Please call me at 407-0531 if I can provide any assistance or answer any
questions or if anything comes up that we should know about.
Thanks,

Subject: Maple Hill Development
Dear Brad
This is a followup on our meeting last Friday morning, July 19, 2004.
We appreciated the opportunity for our neighborhood representatives to
have an initial meeting with you on your development which is directly
to our east. Three of us have served for several years as neighborhood
representatives working with Tom Dougherty and Mike Sollenberger on
Maple Hill as well as also working with the developers for Richards Lake
and the Lind Property. You can use me as the primary contact (Joe
Bleicher at 407-0531) but Kirvin Knox (484-4571) or Nick Yobaggy
(221-1610) can be contacted in my absence.
Prior to the meeting, we had asked you if John Walls from Walls
Enterprises who will be building the duplexes directly across from our
homes could also be at this meeting. Since Mr. Walls couldn't make it
and because the building plans were still being prepared (at the meeting
you said you thought these duplex plans are still 1-2 weeks out), we
wanted to meet with you as soon as possible.
You were able to tell us about your organization and how it plans to
market the development. We told you about our neighborhood's history of
working with Tom and Mike and about our strong concerns regarding the
duplexes in the development that will be closest to us. We explained
that KB Homes had worked with us to achieve greater compatibility with
our existing homes and that we hoped you would be good neighbor also.
We explained that we want to work cooperatively with your development
rather than in adversarial manner, but that we are very concerned with
the adverse effects, of ongoing and planned development, on our
neighborhood. We also discussed our efforts since 1996 to obtain a
frontage road which will help mitigate the adverse effects of
development on our neighborhood's quality of life, safety, and home
values.
You explained your plans to do extensive landscaping along the greenbelt
area which is east of Turnberry Road and to the west of your homes; we
appreciate these plans. Once the plans for the duplexes are available
for review, we said we would want to have a neighborhood meeting to give
you an opportunity to explain your overall plans, hear neighborhood
concerns, and respond to any outstanding issues.
You stated your desire that the replat issue move quickly. We hope that
you are able to provide information at the neighborhood meeting to
assist in our evaluation of appropriate actions for us to take. We
strongly believe that it would be very valuable to us and also help
speed up the process to have this neighborhood meeting attended by those
principals from your development who are the decision makers.
