HomeMy WebLinkAbout(REDWOOD) MODIFICATION FOR CONCORDE CAPITOL - MOD - 15-99 - CORRESPONDENCE - RESPONSE TO APPLICANTCommu y Planning and Environmental rvices Current Planning City of Fort Collins August 10, 1999 Phil Brown Concorde Capital Corp. 1349 E. Broad Street Columbus, OH 43205 Phil, As you know, based on our telephone conversation from this morning, the letter that went out to invite the public to the neighborhood meeting that we arranged for August 11`h had the wrong date on it, and therefore will not happen on the 11th The notice that went out to invite the public to the Planning and Zoning Board hearing on August 191h did in fact have the correct date on it. Because the neighborhood meeting was optional to begin with, the city staff will not make you reschedule the P&Z hearing. At that hearing, I will explain to the concerned public that it was entirely not your fault that the neighborhood meeting notice was wrong, and inform them that prior to any formal submittal for the development plan, we will reschedule the neighborhood meeting. The Planning and Zoning Board may decide to go ahead and rule on the modification during that August 19`h hearing, or they may decide, if the public concern is leaning that way, to continue the decision to a later hearing date. The Board will be briefed on the wrong notice issue at the worksession on Friday August 13th, however, they are not able to make any formal decisions at the worksession. The decision of whether or not their ruling will be continued can only be made at the hearing. As discussed in our telephone conversation this morning, the week of September 7th will probably work for you to reschedule the neighborhood meeting. Just keep in mind that we must send out the notices at least 2 weeks prior to the neighborhood meeting. I truly apologize for any inconvenience that this mistake has caused you. incerely, T4Jo e t inn 281 North College Avenue • P.O.
