#4-04 Resource Recovery Farm Rezoning
Type II (LUC)
1 inch : 1000 feet
March 24, 2004
Dear Property Owner:
On Thursday, April 15, 2004, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers*, City Hall West, 300
LaPorte Avenue, the Planning and Zoning Board of the City of Fort Collins** will hold a public
hearing on a proposed rezoning in your neighborhood. The proposed rezoning is commonly
known as the Resource Recovery Farm Rezoning, File #4-04. This is a request to rezone
approximately 156 acres, located south of East Prospect Road and west of I-25, from the E,
Employment, District to the POL, Public Open Lands District. The property is being preserved
by the City as open space.
The City of Fort Collins Planning Staff considers your interest and input in this matter, as well as
your neighbor's input, an extremely important part of the City's review of this rezoning request.
If you are unable to attend the public hearing, but would like to provide input, written comments
are welcome. The list of affected property owners for this public meeting was derived from
official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between occupancy and
record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property owners may have been
missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of this pending meeting so all neighbors may
have the opportunity to attend.
The Planning and Zoning Board's recommendation will be forwarded to the City Council for
final action on the rezoning. The Council will consider the rezoning on Tuesday May 4, 2004,
at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, City Hall West, 300 LaPorte Avenue. If you have any
questions, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Ken Waido
Chief Planner
*Please note that if the Thursday, April 15th meeting runs past 11:00 p.m., the remaining
items may be continued to Thursday, April 22nd, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council
Chambers, City Hall West.
**The City of Fort Collins will make reasonable accommodations for access to City
services, programs, and activities and will make special communication arrangements for
persons with disabilities. Please call 970.221.6750 for assistance.
