From: Eric Bracke To: Shelby Sommer Date: 04/17/2006 1:51:43 PM Subject: Re: Ridgeview Traffic Hi Shelby, Here are the answers to your questions - Conversion of the Lemay access from right -in, right -out to three-quarter access When the TIS was completed, this item was recommened but never completed. It was suggested as a "last response" issue. Since the traffic is now moving effectively, I deemed it unnecessary to remove the island. - Modifying the south land on Stuart to a right -turn lane for traffic entering the school - completed and working well. - Changing the striping on eastbound Stuart, east of the school exit, to provide a bicycle lane and parking consistent with Stuart to the east Completed and working well - Removal of the existing on -site speed bumps This was the responsibility of the school. However, the bumps have not been removed. It should be noted that it is probably not necessary to remove the bumps at this time since traffic is flowing smoothly. - Modification of the traffic routes for student drop-off and pick-up This is complete and also working well. Eric >>> Shelby Sommer 04/17/06 09:25AM >>> Hi Eric, First of all, I wanted to make sure you'll be able to make it to Thursday's P&Z meeting. As you already know the Board and neighbors are all really interested in the traffic at the Ridgeview site ... should make for a fun evening since this is the last item on the agenda :) Second, at Friday's worksession, the Board asked which of the recommendations from the 2004 Traffic Study have been implemented. The recommendations included: 1. Drop-off/pick-up plan modifications: - Conversion of the Lemay access from right -in, right -out to three-quarter access - Modifying the south land on Stuart to a right -turn lane for traffic entering the school - Changing the striping on eastbound Stuart, east of the school exit, to provide a bicycle lane and parking consistent with Stuart to the east - Removal of the existing on -site speed bumps - Modification of the traffic routes for student drop-off and pick-up Basically I'm starting to prepare a memo to the Board summarizing which of these recommendations have been implemented, which have not and why. Can you help me with this? Thanks for your help! Shelby Sommer Associate Planner City of Fort Collins Current Planning
