FIRST NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING - 24-00 - CORRESPONDENCE - CORRESPONDENCE-NEIGHBORHOOD MEETINGMMN T NC VICINITY MAP Spring Creek Farm Rezone & ODP APO Map 1"= 600' Comma ty Planning and Environmental _ervices Current Planning City of Fort Collins August 10, 2000 Dear Resident On Thursday, August 24, 2000 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Fort Collins High School media center*, located at 3400 Lambkin Way (use the main entrance by the tower on the south side of the building), the City of Fort Collins Current Planning Department will conduct a neighborhood information meeting to discuss a development proposal in your neighborhood. The applicant is proposing to rezone the existing vacant property at the northwest corner of the Timberline Road and Drake Road intersection from the T-Transition Zoning District to a combination of the LMN-Low Density Mixed -Use Neighborhood, MMN-Medium Density Mixed - Use Neighborhood, and E-Employment Zoning Districts. In conjunction with the proposed rezone, the applicant is proposing an Overall Development Plan for the site. What can you expect from attending the neighborhood meeting? The purpose of a neighborhood meeting is to open a line of communication between the applicant and the neighbors. This is the forum through which the neighbors can express their concerns, city staff can explain the development review process, and the applicant can explain to the neighbors what they are intending to do with the project and answer questions from the neighbors. Meeting minutes are taken by city staff, and become part of the project file. Neighborhood meetings are typically scheduled early in the project, before any design decisions have been finalized so the flexibility still exists for the input of neighbors to perhaps be integrated into the project. The list of affected property owners for this neighborhood information meeting is derived from official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between home occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of this pending meeting so all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend. If you are unable to attend this meeting, written comments are welcome.
