This project was originally approved to provide 52 of the 89 residential units, or 58%, as affordable to households earning 80% or less of Area Median Income; however, they have since reduced the number of affordable units to 36, or 40%. The breakdown of affordable units is as follows: • Lot 1 Block 5: townhomes (8) units • Lot 5 Block 3: single family (1) unit ■ Lot 6 Block 3: single family (1) unit ■ Lot 7 Block 3: single family (1) unit • Lot 8 Block 3: single family (1) unit ■ Lot 4 Block 3: single family (1) unit • Lot 3 Block 3: single family (1) unit ■ Lot 2 Block 3: single family (1) unit ■ Lot 1 Block 3: single family (1) unit ■ Lot 1-10 Block 1: triplex units (20) units This is still a qualified affordable housing project and Merten Inc. is eligible to receive a 40% reduction in their Development Review Fees. However, because they originally received a 58% reduction in those fees, they will be responsible to pay the City the difference prior to the issuance of any building permits.
