You may call the Current Planning Department at 221-6750 the day of the meeting to determine the likelihood of your item being heard. Following action by the Planning and Zoning Board, the first reading of the ordinance approving the proposed annexations will be heard by the City Council on May 6, 1997. Second reading will occur on May 20, 1997. Annexation of your property into the City will be effective 10 days after this second reading, May 30, 1997. Please note that if this notice is delivered to a corporate office, it should be forwarded to the appropriate real estate department. Thomas Burlington Northern Santa Fe 3700 Globeville Road Denver, Co 80216-4905 RE: Burlington Northern at McClelland Drive Annexation and Zoning Dear Mr. Thomas: The City of Fort Collins is pursuing the annexation of all eligible "enclave" annexations. Property which you own, located south of Drake Road, between McClelland Drive and Redwing Road, is included in the referenced enclave annexation, having been completely surrounded by the City of Fort Collins since June 26, 1966. (Please see the attached map for the location of this proposed annexation). On Monday, March 17, 1997, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, at 281 North College Avenue', representatives from the Current Planning Department will hold an informational meeting to discuss the proposed annexations with affected property owners. The meeting will be held in the main conference room on the first floor (please enter the building through the north entrance). If you prefer, individual meetings with the project planner can be arranged by calling Kim Kreimeyer or me at 221-6750. City staff is proposing that your property be placed in the Commercial zoning district (see attached draft of the Commercial zoning district). The zone districts are scheduled to be adopted be City Council on March 18, 1997. This zoning district is consistent with City's adopted Comprehensive Plan and Structure Plan map which was adopted February 18, 1997. City Council will consider the initiation of annexation proceedings via resolution on March 18, 1997. The Planning and Zoning Board of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, will hold a public hearing on the proposed enclave annexations on Monday, March 24, 1997. The meeting starts at 6:30 PM in the Council Chambers, 300 LaPorte Avenue.
