I. INTRODUCTION
This transportation impact study addresses the capacity,
geometric, and control requirements at and near proposed developments
known as the Harmony Technology Park, Imago/Brookfield, and Willow
Brook. Collectively, they are referred to as the Harmony Technology
Park Amended ODP. They are located near the intersection of Harmony
Road and CR9 in Fort Collins, Colorado.
During the course of the analysis, numerous contacts were made
with the project planning consultants (BHA Design and Nuzar Kopatz),
project engineer (TST), the owners/developers, and the Fort Collins
Traffic and Engineering Staff. This study generally conforms to the
format set forth in ,the Fort Collins transportation impact study
guidelines. As was agreed to in various meetings, this transportation
impact study addresses issues related to the amended ODP as well as
PDP's for Willow Brook, Brookfield, and Imago. The study involved the
following steps:
- Collect physical, traffic, and development data;
- Perform trip generation, trip distribution, and trip assignment;
- Determine peak hour traffic volumes;
- Conduct capacity and operational level of service analyses on key
intersections;
- Analyze signal warrants;
- Conduct level of service evaluation of pedestrian, bicycle, and
transit modes of transportation.
