My evaluation of the corrugated galvanized steel pipe was performed on July 19, 2014. The pipe is located on the upper portion of the drive just before entering the facility grounds. The pipe can only be observed from the north end. The pipe still retains its circular shape. There is evidence of light rusting and light pitting of the inside of the culvert mostly on the lower half of the pipe. The galvanizing appears to be still performing as intended. No evidence of any buckling or deformation is observed. The amount of fill on top of the pipe is measured to be 12" minimum with the maximum fill height above the pipe to be only a few inches more. My evaluation of this corrugated galvanized steel pipe is that it is adequate to carry legal Colorado Truck Loadings which should also include the local fire truck configurations and weights. More specifically, this pipe is adequate to carry legal Colorado Type 3 Trucks with a maximum weight of 54,000 pounds and the Colorado Type 352, Type 3-2, and other legal Colorado Trucks carrying weights of 80,000 pounds. I recommend regular inspections of this pipe every few years when the pipe is dry or if it has been subject to high water events that overflow the pipe or if a heavy overloaded truck happens to travel over it by mistake. Respectf mitted, s L l Mark HamouzP.E.
