Subject: Landscaping - Sprint site
Ted,
The landscaping at the City Park Sprint site will not work for the Parks or
Recreation. The area is confined and space is needed for warm-up for the ball
players. Also do the confinement, we want a mow strip under the fence so this area
can be maintained with large mowers and not by hand.
I discussed the tree location with Tim Buchanan and we do have a site for 2 trees
(either deciduous or evergreen) that will act as a mitigation site. We will declare
the location when the construction work commences next spring or when Sprint want to
purchase the trees.
The issue of the 8' fence at the site is not a problem since there is already an
8' fence on the outfield of the ballfield. This would just be an extension of that
fence and is attached to it.
If you have questions please call.
