HomeMy WebLinkAboutWIRELESS TELECOM. EQUIP. (SPRINT), CITY PARK - PDP/FDP - 29-97 - CORRESPONDENCE -2. The following comments apply to sheet two of three:
A. Please note on the site plan that there will be concrete mow strip at the base of the fence.
Please specify the width of the mow strip.
B. Is it acceptable to Parks and Recreation for the welded wire cover to overlap the ballfield
fence? Would not such an overhang interfere with catching a long fly ball?
The following comments apply to sheet three of three:
A. Please indicate the color of the pole. The antenna must be of the same color so as to
avoid contrast.
B. It is not clear why the tennis wind screen is used only on three sides. This screening
should be on all four sides of the enclosure, including the gate.
C. Please note that the eight foot high chainlink fence matches the existing outfield fence for
the ballfield.
D. Please delete the reference to a "monopole." Rather, it is a light pole on which the
antennas are attached as accessory equipment.
E. Please indicate that the "proposed lights" are for ballfield lighting.
4. As we have discussed, the Code requires that the base ground -mounted equipment be
landscaped. As of this writing, the City Forester is investigating areas in the immediate
vicinity where such landscaping can be placed so as to help mitigate the view from the
ground plane. After the determination is made, the inclusion of landscape materials must
be shown or noted on the plans. For this round -of review, please note that landscaping
will be provided as per the direction of the City Forester.
This concludes Staff comments at this time. As always, please call if you have any questions.
Please re -submit three sets of revised plans by Monday, December 8, 1997. The public hearing
has been scheduled for Thursday, December 18, 1997, at 3:00 p.m., in the main conference room
of the Planning Department at 281 North College Avenue.
Sincerely:

Dear Mr. Foster:
Staff has reviewed the request for Wireless Telecommunications Equipment - Co -location City
Park Ballfield Light Fixture. The following comments are offered:
The following comments apply to sheet one of three:
A. The site plan should contain a reference to the Book and Page Number as Recorded by the
Larimer County Clerk and Recorder for the access and utility easement. (If this document
is not recorded by the time of the public hearing, be sure to add it to the mylars before
recording.)
B. Under the title, please add "Wireless Telecommunications Equipment - Administrative
Review."
C. Please add the following note regarding co -location language:
"No wireless telecommunication equipment owner or lessee or employee thereof
shall act to exclude or attempt to exclude any other wireless telecommunication
provider from using the same structure (light fixture). Wireless telecommunication
equipment owners or lessees or employees thereof shall cooperate in good faith to
achieve co -location of wireless telecommunication equipment with other wireless
telecommunication providers."
D. Under general notes, please state that there will be no additional security fighting
associated with the ground -mounted equipment.
E. Under project information, please delete the reference to a "facility." The only reason this
request is not going to the Planning and Zoning Board is because the antennas are
"equipment."
F. On the site plan, please indicate that the "baseball field" is "City Park - North Diamond."
G. On the vicinity map, please note that the correct spelling is "cemetery."
