I support development in the Lincoln Triangle — and, the most important asset in that area isn't going to be any developed property, but the Poudre River as it flows through Downtown Fort Collins. I'm asking that you work hard to make sure and protect the riparian edge, especially through this portion of Fort Collins, where the pressure to develop it and destroy it are the greatest. Thank you, Gerry. I hope that the standard of 300 feet is upheld during this development process. As we do infill and development in this area, it becomes critical that we protect the natural ribbon of nature that is the Poudre River Corridor through our community. The real value of this area isn't seeing how close we can bring brick and mortar to the riparian edge —the value is protecting this natural asset, so that 75 years from now citizens in our community can enjoy the Poudre River, and the habitat and wildlife it supports. Again, thank you for the response, and for the work each of you do on behalf of Fort Collins and the citizens who live here. However, we do know that the river buffer standards are 300 feet along the Poudre River so that area will be protected. Regards, Wendy BrLcher 1
