Dear Resident:
March 18, 1998
The Planning and Zoning Board of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, on Thursday, April 2, 1998',
at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers", City Hall West, 300 LaPorte Avenue, will hold a public
hearing on a proposed project in your neighborhood. The proposed project is commonly known as
Tavelli Elementary School 1st & 2nd Annexation and Zoning.
The applicant is requesting the voluntary annexation and zoning of the Tavelli Elementary School.
This is a 100% voluntary annexation and zoning action. The annexation and zoning of the Tavelli
Elementary School is being accomplished through two sequential annexations in order to gain the
required 1/6th contiguity to existing City limits. The Tavelli Elementary School 1st Annexation and
zoning is the first of these two annexations and the Tavelli Elementary School 2nd Annexation and
Zoning is the second annexation and zoning to be considered.
The Tavelli Elementary 1st Annexation and Zoning is approximately 0.3 acres in size and is located
on North Lemay Avenue, south of Country Club Road. The Tavelli Elementary 2nd Annexation and
Zoning is approximately 9.25 acres in size and is located on North Lemay Avenue, south of Country
Club Road. The existing use of the property is an elementary school. The proposed zoning for both
annexations is UE-Urban Estate zone district.
The list of affected property owners for this public hearing is derived from official records of the
Larimer County Assessor. Because of lag time between occupancy and record keeping, or because
of rental situations, a few affected property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify
your neighbor of this pending meeting so all neighbors have the opportunity to attend.
Please Note: Due to the number of projects being reviewed by the Board, there is no guarantee this
item will be heard on the date advertised. For the benefit of those attending the meeting, the Board
typically sets their schedule at the beginning of the meeting.
Sincerely,
//
