LANDSCAPE
DESIGN
August 17, 1998
DESCRIPTION AND -PURPOSE
It is our purpose to present a Landscape.Plan that compliments
the surrounding area as well as enhances the architecture of the
building. The plant material chosen extends the visual interest
of the existing landscape of the Senior Center while providing
proper shading, screening and seasonal color year round.
We have gone to great extent to protect the existing trees.
However, the following trees will need to be removed:
1 Hackberry Celtis Occidentalis
- Coordinate with the City
to relocate
1 Sugar Maple Acer Saccharum
-Layout constraints does not
allow placement for functional
or esthetic purpose
- Extensive root
in the process
of parking lot
is inevitable
damage will occur
of construction
and eventual loss
1 Blue Spruce Picea Pungens
- Top of tree has been destroyed
by raccoons. The unsightliness
does not compliment our purpose
for esthetic value.
All the elements of a good landscape plan has been implimented,
including the conservation of water by choice of plant material and
through proper irrigation with the use of a private well.
It is our hope that you find this design satisfactory in
meeting all the necessary criteria.
