College Avenue Prior to Starting the Change of Use process with the City: • August, 1997 - Contacted Ted Will to inquire about his selling 160 & 164 North College Avenue. • October, 1997 - Ted Will conceptually agreed to trade 160 & 164 North College Avenue for 742-748 North College Avenue (depending on remodeling costs). Contract signed to purchase 742-748 North College Avenue. Planning Department Change of Use Process - 742-748 N. College Avenue: • December 1, 1997 - Conceptual Review held at the City's Planning Department. • December 10, 1997 - Received written Conceptual Review comments from the City. • December 23, 1997 - Signed contract with Ted Will. He hires a planner and takes over responsibility for remodeling 742-748 North College Avenue. • February 14, 1998 - Ted Will cancels agreement, stating to many unknowns in planning process and projected costs to high. • February 20, 1998 - New agreement reached, now having us responsible for planning process and remodeling of 742-748 North College Avenue. Finished building exchanged for 160 & 164 North College Avenue. • April 1, 1998 - Submitted required plans and documents to the City's Planning Department for change of use approval. • May 4, 1998 (through mid -May) - Received review comments back from various City Departments. • June 1, 1998 - Submitted information requested by various City Departments. • June 26, 1998 - Received second set of comments back from the various City Departments. • July 8, 1998 - Submitted information requested in the second set of comments from the City. • July 14, 1998 - Public hearing held at Planning Department. • July 16, 1998 - Planning Department Approval received (pending two -week appeal period). • August, 1998 - Worked through the City's Engineering Department and Building Permit issues. Purchased 742-748 North College Avenue. • September, 1998 - Remodel of 742-748 North College Avenue starts.
