Ted said that the park area can be shown as a bubble on the PDP and FP because it does
not require detailed design analysis by P&Z Board or planning staff. Critical information
such as detention pond design should be referenced to the Drainage Plan, which has its
own requirements. He also felt that the need for a drainage easement on the property as
well as for the line that will need to cross city property north of the facilities building will
be determined by the stone water department. EDAW's experience with detention ponds
and storm drain lines on city -owned park properties has not included preparing easements
for these facilities. (Rob U. at Parsons should follow up on this.)
Janet said that the Parks Planning Department must follow city approval procedures for
park designs, but that the procedure is different than private development proposals. An
illustrative master plan drawing will most likely suffice. She will write a summary of the
necessary steps for approval as soon as possible.
